Kino Casino Finally Drops the Jer Movie

After a Halloween technical disaster, Warski and PPP finally released The Grift, their feature-length parody of TheQuartering. The reaction has been about as normal as you'd expect.

Kino Casino finally got the Jer movie out, although not quite the way Warski and PPP had or planned at first.

The long-awaited film, titled The Grift, was supposed to premiere on Halloween. Instead, the night ended with Andy Warski apologizing to viewers after a corrupted file prevented the movie from being shown as intended.

After months of work, that had to hurt.

Warski said the team had tried to repair the problem but couldn't get it working in time. They called it a night and promised to return the following evening. Everyone left feeling felted.

BUT!

On November 1, the movie finally screened.

And after all the delays, technical problems, and anticipation, viewers got more than 90 minutes of Jeremy Hambly being relentlessly mocked.

For anyone unfamiliar with the subject, Hambly is the YouTuber better known as TheQuartering, or simply Jer to the Casino audience.

He's been a regular target of Warski and PPP's coverage for years.

Now he's got an entire movie dedicated to him.

Lucky guy.

Months of Work, One Corrupted File

The project had been in development for months, with Kino Casino taking time away from its regular streaming schedule to finish the film.

The hosts had previously made parody movies centered on DarkSydePhil, including The Dented Zone and It's a Dented Life.

This time, Jer was getting the treatment.

Warski promoted the Halloween premiere for 8:30 p.m. Eastern, telling viewers the finishing touches were underway.

But when the night arrived, things went wrong.

Rather than presenting the completed movie, Warski announced that the file had suffered serious corruption and that attempts to repair it had failed.

The team promised to work through the problem and try again the next day.

That announcement wasn't exactly what an audience waiting months for the film wanted to hear.

The following evening, Warski announced that the movie was finally loaded and ready.

This time, it played.

Afterward, Warski thanked viewers and described the broadcast as their biggest show ever.

So, What Exactly Is The Grift?

The Grift is a feature-length comedy parody based on TheQuartering and the years of internet drama surrounding him.

And if you're expecting a carefully restrained satire, you've probably never watched Kino Casino.

The film is packed with crude jokes, bizarre scenarios, recurring characters, and references to controversies the show's audience has followed for months or even years.

It isn't particularly interested in introducing those controversies to newcomers.

That makes sense for the intended audience, although it also means somebody stumbling across the movie without knowing anything about Jer might have absolutely no idea what's going on.

The film runs approximately 93 minutes, making it a substantial production for a livestream commentary show.

There's plenty of material from years of Quartering coverage, but The Grift isn't a documentary. It's a comedy that exaggerates real internet personalities and situations for laughs.

And some of the choices have already started arguments.

Wait, They Actually Got DSP Involved?

One of the biggest surprises was the involvement of DarkSydePhil, better known as DSP.

The Casino has spent years covering and mocking Phil, so seeing him involved in another Kino movie caught viewers off guard.

Some absolutely loved it.

On X, viewer @zatoichi_tb singled out a scene involving PPP screaming upside down in a chair, along with the surprise of Phil's involvement.

Another viewer, @DanielA80208185, compared the collaboration to heroes and villains unexpectedly teaming up.

But not everybody was celebrating.

Several commenters criticized the decision to work with DSP, arguing that it undermined the show's long-running treatment of him.

One viewer, @ds4windows, wrote that working with DSP again was an immediate dealbreaker.

Others questioned why Warski and PPP would involve somebody they'd spent so much time ridiculing.

The arguments have been almost as entertaining as the film's release.

For some viewers, getting Phil involved was a great joke. For others, it was a step too far.

Apparently, even the Casino has lines its audience doesn't agree on crossing.

So, Was the Movie Actually Any Good?

Judging by the reactions under Kino Casino Clips' November 2 posts, the film has its fans.

Some viewers praised the editing, the cameos, and the sheer amount of work that went into the production.

Nina Infinity, who said she'd been involved in the project, described it as one of the funniest things she'd participated in, while acknowledging its disturbing moments.

Another viewer, @IGotWaifus, called it the best movie the team had made so far.

But the praise wasn't universal.

User @madrhetoric45 thought the beginning and ending worked well but said the middle dragged.

Other viewers complained about the pacing, the darker jokes, or the decision to involve DSP.

One commenter, @KalsContent, said they'd actually fallen asleep watching it.

Then there were reactions that were almost impossible to classify.

User @djacks80 called the movie horrible and stupid, then immediately declared that they loved it.

Which might be the most appropriate review of a Kino Casino production.

The comments certainly don't amount to a scientific audience survey. They're reactions from people engaging with the official clip account, and that audience is already familiar with the show.

Still, they suggest The Grift has produced exactly the kind of arguments you'd expect from a movie built around the Casino's particular brand of humor.

There's Already Another Version Coming

Even after the movie finally screened, the technical problems weren't completely over.

On November 2, Kino Casino Clips shared a Rumble upload and acknowledged that the film still had audio issues.

The account said the available version had improved synchronization but that a further corrected version would be uploaded during the week.

One viewer complained that buffering and audio synchronization problems had made the live presentation difficult to watch.

So anyone who missed the premiere might actually benefit from waiting for the corrected upload.

Not exactly an ideal ending to months of editing, but at least the movie is finally available.

And What Does Jer Think About All This?

That's the question plenty of viewers probably want answered.

TheQuartering has provided the Casino with years of material through his commentary, business ventures, and public disputes.

Now there's a feature-length parody with his online persona at the center of it.

Some viewers are already speculating about whether he'll respond to the film or attempt to have uploads removed.

But speculation isn't confirmation, and no verified response to the completed movie has been established here.

For now, The Grift is out, people are arguing about the DSP involvement, and Warski and PPP have another movie to add to their collection.

Was the finished product worth the delays?

That depends on how much Jer content you can tolerate in one sitting.

For regular Casino viewers, there's a ridiculous amount of familiar material packed into its hour and a half.

For everyone else, it's probably best described as a movie that requires several years of internet lore to understand properly.

And perhaps that's the funniest thing about the whole project.

After all the time spent working on it, the Halloween disaster, and the technical problems, Warski and PPP actually finished a feature-length movie about a guy they spend hours making fun of every week.

Jer finally got his own movie. And somehow, DSP managed to become one of the most controversial parts of it.

If you missed it you can watch it over on X where PPP and Warski released the entire movie
